Vin is a pale, slim person, with mostly short hair except for two thin tails of hair on either side of their face. They have a nose ring, earrings, and a helix piercing. Their face is framed with sharp cheekbones and wide round deep set eyes that have dark bags under. Their slim face seems to age them a bit more than they actually are, and is likely partially from a smoking habit. Vin wears a lot of collared shirts and is frequently seen wearing a stained grey apron while working. They seem to enjoy wearing mostly earth tones and darker breathable clothing. Despite this, given their occupation, vin can also be seen wearing stuffy hazard gear, masks, gloves, and others frequently.
Vin is an overly-confident, extremely loyal person first, and a conniving, morally questionable guy second. They easily mask their morbid curiosities in the name of an image they must uphold and are seen as charming and interesting by locals. In reality they have a tendency for the dramatics, especially while at work attempting to raise the dead. They don't have very much care for others feelings and seem to have fairly low empathy. Despite all of this the one exception is Rael, whom they feel closest too and are basically illegitimately married to. Vin seems to worship the ground Rael walks on and Rael is equally as loyal in a much less eccentric manner suitable to her personality. Vins overwhelming character can be unnerving at times, with their overenthusiastic reactions to shocking topics and lack of filter, they often seem almost inhuman in nature to Oliver and others who are not as close to them as Rael is. Their seeming lack of social awareness and humanity in juxtaposition to kochabs growing human spirit is one of the primary traits of the two as characters.
Rael Monday; As stated previously, Rael is the closest person to Vin, having met while teenagers and inseparable since then. They know everything about each other and despite being an unlikely duo based on personality alone, have a genuinely strong and loving relationship. After years apart, Rael made her way back to where she and Vin had grown up together and has stayed by their side since.
Oliver Aileen; Oliver is Vins apprentice and is primarily seen by them as that and nothing more. Despite this Vin, being very prideful of their work, takes Olivers apprenticeship very seriously and is constantly pushing him to do their best and learn important tricks of the trade and discipline.
Kochabiel Beowulf; Vin sees kochab as a treasure of sorts for them to wave around and show off. Believing to have made a breakthrough in science, Vin takes all credit for Kochab's new life despite in reality not actually doing anything at all, taking credit for pure chance and luck.
Ivory Edwards; Vin seems to not have much of an opinion on Ivory, despite frequently meeting in their respective lines of work. Ivory is quite intimidated by Vin and avoids them at all costs.
Saint Solfrid; Vins sister Saint is the only family member still in contact with Vin, having a rivalry of sorts over who should truly have ownership over their familys business and estate. Vin sees Saint as extremely selfish as she already has an estate of her own and is very well off, thinking of her as more of a leech than a sibling while Saint tries to take back what she believes belongs to her as the eldest. In childhood it seems they were not necessarily close as Saint was much older than Vin. Vin considers their experience to be that of an only child since Saint moved out as soon as Vin was old enough to remember, some bitterness between them may also be due to this fact.
